 After 1 year of trying to get settled into our condo, we have finally almost completed what we have set out to achieve.  This past week we have added a couple of final touches.  The first being this beautiful lamp which we ordered 5 weeks ago which finally arrived on Thursday.  There is no lighting in our living area which poses a problem when I want to read on the sofa after 9pm b/c it's too dark.  After watching so much HGTV, I already knew I wanted a lamp with a long extended arm that hangs over like this one and it was just a matter of finding it that became a challenge.  This one's really neat b/c you can adjust the arm at any length or the arm can be retracted so that it looks like a regular floor lamp.  It fits so beautifully in our space

A couple months ago I bought 2 large photo frames to put on a bare wall in our bedroom.  I went online and ordered 2 wedding photos for the frames but never had a chance to size them and put them in.  Steve already did his job by hanging the frames on the wall so we've been staring at empty frames for the past 2 months.  This morning I woke up and decided today is going to be the day to tackle the empty photo frames.  Twenty minutes later the photos were framed, the frames were windexed, and VOILA...

I must say I love the way we've decorated our condo.  It looks beautiful and it really is a true reflection of our own personal styles and interests.  So glad Steve and I have the same taste.  Either that or I'm lucky Steve lets me decorate any way I want!

After months of searching for the perfect bench for our front hallway, we finally found one that met ALL of our requirements:

> Contemporary yet traditional
> Dark espresso brown colour
> No longer than 34 inches
> No wider than 12 inches
> Inexpensive

Gotta love Walmart.

I have no idea how I posted this picture to my blog but I've been trying to play around with ShoZu which I just downloaded onto my blackberry.  Somehow it worked but this really boggles my mind b/c everytime I try to open ShoZu I get this error that it can't connect to the internet.  Anyway, in case you're wondering... my wonderful sister and her husband made all those japanese cranes for a game we played at my bridal shower last year.  I couldn't stand to just throw them out so Steve and I packed them up and brought them over to our new condo.  I wish I could say I helped with this project but it was all Steve!  He tied them to the splatter screen (lol... very creative!), drilled through the concrete ceiling (that drained him out poor thing!) and hung it up there himself!  As you can see his determination paid off b/c the end result looks wonderful!  I absolutely LOVE it!  This is in our office btw.
